    Transferring apps

If I am going to upgrade to a newer Android, how hard is it to transfer my current apps to a new phone? I remember in the old days you either lost your apps or had to call and get refunded when you repurchased them for your new device. This was always a nightmare and I am hoping it is easier now.

Does Bluetooth transfer apps or is that just files? I remember a few years ago I was able to take my old phone and my new phone and transfer files, but this was before I had a smartphone.

According to my experience, the old days are gone, technology is really going easy and preferable day by day. So, don't bother about it!
