Rumor: Report Claims Amazon Launching Bigger Kindle Fire in Q2

Could Amazon be launching a larger Kindle Fire in Q2?
According to this post by Engadget, the China Times of Tiawan, are saying it is probaably 10" and that Amazon is picking the parts personally, instead of Quanta. I think this will be very profitable for Amazon if they keep it around $300.
Additionally, China Times understands that as an attempt to further reduce manufacturing costs, Amazon will also be personally picking and approving parts; as opposed to the olden days where Quanta took full care of the first Kindle Fire.
But since it is not confirmed, I would not get to excited. But defiantly be on the watch for this tablet.

Well that would be something I would definitely be interested in. My problem with the current Kindle selection is that they are small. If the came out with a bigger one I would buy it.

^Ya, I don't see the point in a 7" tablet personally, but I could see where some people would want them.

Already? Didn't the newest Kindle Fire just come out? It seems kind of silly to already launch a newer and better one. I don't see the point of a larger screen for a tablet, but if it works, I guess that's good.

Hopefully, the news is real, and not just a rumor. I would really love a 10-inch Kindle Fire. technoupdatenow is right: 7'' tablets do seem rather pointless. Small screens are for smartphones. Unfortunately, none of the major companies that produce touchscreen e-readers have yet to release a large-screened tablet so far.

I agree, a 10" tablet for reading would be awesome.

Hey! I don't agree with you. Why a 10" tablet for reading would be awesome. I really like a big screen such as 10" for reading.
