What's a GOOD android phone for my mom?

Hi guys, my mom currently has a Samsung FLIGHT II and it's breaking, she can bearly hear people when they're talking to her. She likes the phone because of the keyboard, is there any Android based phones with qwerty keyboards on AT&T that are GOOD phones? If not a physical keyboard, one that has a good decently big keyboard that she'll be able to type on/get used to easily?

We're trying to get her to go with an iPhone 5 or 4S because she has an iPad and is already familiar how to use it...but she says she doesn't know if she'd like having an iPhone so I figured I'd ask if there's any ANDROID handsets that may be simple for her to use? Keep in mind, my mom is in her 50s and isn't very tech savvy at all, so simplicity is a must.

Seeing that you could have gone for the iPhone 5 or the iPhone 4S means that you don't care much about the price. Actually, the iPhone 5 is as simple as it gets. If you would want to get an Android phone, then maybe you should just get a Samsung Galaxy S3 or an S4. You could then go to settings --> home screen mode --> Easy mode. The easy mode provides for an easier experience for first time smartphone user from their home screen.
