Should I buy a cheap Chinese tablet?

I'm thinking of buying a tablet for under, $200.
I found a ZeniThink c93, and it looks good, at least i think.

I also found this Ramos W27

Found a MoMo 12, but its a little out of my price range, is it worth it?

You are free to make suggestions, but it must be a 10" tablet and from Australia.

    Thanks.

*Was going to post links, but I can't.

If the tablet must be from Australia, then why are you asking if you should buy a Chinese tablet? Or are you talking about a tablet that's made in China but sold in Australia?

Yeah, maybe it's made in China. If you are low on cash and you really need to get a tablet, then grab that China phone. Just make sure that it had all the things that you need in a tablet. But if you're not in a hurry, I would suggest that you save your money and purchase a Samsung Tab or and iPad when you already can afford it. China tablets have a really short lifespan so you need to be weary.

I would never suggest doing that, only if you are REALLY in need of a tablet. Otherwise I would follow the other fellow's advice and save up for a Samsung tab (or anything that wouldn't give you a lot of trouble to begin with).

I think Nexus7 is better option. Chines device will never receive future update. As well as there's no much custom ROM, if there's almost all of them are based chines language etc stuff. If I were you, I never go for it.

Same here, i would not recommand that. If you really want a tablet, and if you want it to last more than 3 months, buy a good one... Nexus 7 or The new GS !

I haven't heard of these Chinese tablets, but it's good to know that consumers should steer clear, unless they want to end up purchasing a new tablet again in the near future. In that case, you may as well save your money and get something that will last longer.

You get what you pay for with electronics, so I wouldn't buy a cheaply made Chinese tablet if it were me. I wanted a tablet for a LONG time but only recently was able to afford one. I ended up going with a Kindle and I have no regrets about spending the $200 on it.

A lot of electronics are made in China but electronics made by Chinese companies are a totally different thing! Chinese electronics are just a bad "copy & paste" from good devices, Chinese do this with anything that can be sold... My advice is to get a decent brand name that can work well.

No, it's not worth it. Take that money and put it into a good, brand name tablet. Buying a cheap piece of junk is like throwing money away.

A lot of the cheap tablets don't work at all. The functionality is basically zero. You may get lucky, but more than likely you are wasting $200 and going to have to end up buying another one anyways. Trust me, invest in a better one.

Might I suggest the Kindle Fire? They sell in Australia now from what I've heard. I suppose it depends on what you plan on using it for. However, you can get the Kindle Fire for less than $200, and it has a great track record.

No, I wouldn't if it were my money. My husband got an offbrand tablet for Christmas last year from a relative and it did not work. It would cut on and then it would freeze. Although it came with apps, they weren't playable and we couldn't get other apps, despite it being an Android tablet. A total waste of money for the person that bought it.
