Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of 2012

Will the new version of Android, the one that comes after Ice Cream Sandwich, be released by the end of this year? I find it fascinating how time flies when it comes to operating systems. It's like just a few months ago everyone wanted to update to Honeycomb, and now Honeycomb is already considered an old version...

I would guess so, just based on past experiences.

He he... Some users will have hardly had time to update their devices to Ice Cream Sandwich when the next one comes (Jelly Bean, is it?). I was reading rumors on YouTube about the version that comes after that. A leaked piece of info from Google is that the chosen name is "Key Lime Pie"...

I couldn't handle the wait. With ICS taking forever to get to my Galaxy Tab 8.9 I finally just flashed a custom version. I love it. I also have a Droid charge, which still hasn't seen the ICS roll out.....if it doesn't happen soon I'll just have to root it too. It sucks the way companies roll out new ware in conjunction with new models of phones coming out. The Charge is a nice machine I don't see why its last on the list, they do it so you'll buy the next phone out....I've read roll outs of ICS are already in two countries for devices that can't get it here? My tablet is one of them. Still, I'll wait patiently for the legit version for the charge....just sucks watching everyone else get it!

I know. That's why I stick to a device I like and go root. I'd rather update and manually tweak my os than wait on Samsung. There is already a Tab 2 Rom available to flash, people are already talking about what is next and I'm still stuck on 2.3 on my Charge. They kicked out a half ass update when the store changed to Google play but gimme a break already.....
