    Do You Always Root?

For those of you who like to root your phones, what is your particular reason for doing so? Do you always root your phones, or is it a case by case basis?

I always root because I like to have the complete mastering of my phone and I use apps for data tethering that requires root

I don't see any point in rooting because Verizon offers free wi-fi hotspot with their newer Share Everything plans so there is no need for 3rd party tethering. I would not know how to do it anyway.

I usually don't like to root because of possible security risk of information stored on device.
